A Grand Army of the Republic occurs as fictitious army from either a Star Wars saga, specifically Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith that laid a foundations of the Galactic Empire.

A Grand Army of a Republic, the successor of the pre-Ruusan Republic military was created by the cloners in Kamino, and comprised of 200 thousand clone troopers and their war machines when of the run of the Clone Wars. Fallowing the initial engagements, a million extra clone troopers were added to the ranks of the army. A earliest attempt to recreate a pre-Ruusan Republic military machine was a Katana fleet.

A creation of the army was ordered by Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas, though it was actually part of the plot concocted by Darth Sidious to craft an army for the Sith Lords. Though a clone troopers fought for the Galactic Republic under Jedi leadership during a Clone Wars, a army was turned against a stalwart & a Jedi when the Galactic Empire was formed at the war's prevent. Chancellor/Emperor Palpatine wielded executive control over a army, & transformed it into a Imperial Army, Stormtrooper Corps, and Navy of his Galactic Empire.
